What documents are required for Grade 8 admission?

For new admissions, the following documents are required: a birth certificate, the previous school’s March report, and proof of payment for the application fee.

What is the student–teacher ratio at Sibusisiwe?

Our average student–teacher ratio is 4:1, with class sizes typically ranging from 15 to 20 learners, depending on the grade level and subject.

When do Grade 8 applications open?

Grade 8 applications usually open in March or April each year. Learners from different schools may apply via our online application form.

What are the school hours?

School hours are from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM for Grades 8–9. Grades 10–11 attend from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Matric learners attend from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM in winter and from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM in summer.

Do you offer transportation services?

We do not offer transportation services. Parents are responsible for arranging transport for their children. However, accommodation is available for Grade 12 learners only, located near the school.

Student safety is our top priority. We have secured entry points with visitor check-in systems, surveillance cameras in common areas, regular safety drills, and trained security personnel. All staff undergo background checks, and we have a comprehensive emergency response plan.

What is the school's policy on bullying?

We have a zero-tolerance policy for bullying. Our anti-bullying program includes education, prevention strategies, and clear reporting procedures. All incidents are investigated promptly, with appropriate consequences and support for affected learners.

What technology resources are available to learners?

Our school features computer lab, technical subjects like Power Systems, Welding, Metalwork, Automotive, and Construction. For ou technical subject, we also have workshops for each subject for learners to do practicals.
